Splash with diluted vinegar and it removes the burn immediately.

I'm a chilehead and I've yet to find a remedy for burning body parts. With most hot peppers, simple gloves is normally sufficient. For the superhots though, the capsaicin gets right through them. I've pretty much resigned myself to having burning hands for a good 8 hours after processing a bunch of superhots.

I meant for eyelids. A nurse gave me the tip years ago and it works. Half water, half vinegar.

Not for your eyes, but hands and mouth. The best thing I have found is olive oil to take away the heat.

I have used it as a little trick when people want me to taste a really hot pepper.

I keep a Texas Pete bottle filled with olive oil and red food coloring in the dash of my truck.

When someone wants me to taste a hot one, I make an excuse to go to my truck. While they aren't watching, I take a swig and slosh it around my mouth.

I put the bottle in my pocket. Then I eat the pepper, pull out the fake Texas Pete, and say that's not hot, I think I need some Texas Pete for a chaser!

I did the same thing (rub my eyes) one year when I was making pepper jelly!

When I had a professional boxing coach accidentally break 6 bottles of hot sauce (from NOLA) that I had in a bag, I got hs all over my hands. The flight attendant gave me wet wash cloths and lemon wedges. Must be the acid!

I find that when I'm working with hot peppers, an easy way to get it off of you is to rub a little salad oil onto your hands before you get your hands on the peppers. Then when done, wash with soap. The salad oil comes off, along with all the bad oil it absorbed. Your hands are then VERY clean. Rub your eyes all you want. I wear contacts, and if I don't do this, my contacts burn like hell the next morning, after I've taken them out the night before and cleaned them in my palms. Even after scrubbing those palms with soap.

If you're just slicing a small pepper, just put oil on the finger you're using to hold the pepper.

This really works a charm. I've renewed my friendship with hot peppers in this way.

Remove a hair from your head and place it in your eye near the lower lid.
I have short hair but it took away the pain immediately.
You probably should wear rubber gloves unless you have gotten the hot stuff off your hands first.
