We just bought the house 18 months ago, and I am working on the front yard.

There is a near bare spot in the back yard where they piled the dirt when they put in the leach bed. I have been patterning the mowing so the grass clippings end up on it.

This patch appear several weeks ago, so I suspect it is something already existing in the yard, but it looks different. I suspect that the back yard was planted with a contractor's mix which could have been anything. Though it appears to be mostly fescue
