It i sBermuda, but no way is it Tifway-I aka 419. I cannot tell you exactly what kind it is other than it looks like a pasture grade used for hay like Coastal.

I was afraid of that, it came in rolls from a sod farm, I saw them deliver it. It's quite thick and it doesn't look horrible but I paid for tif419. So, lawsuit? Dunno what to do.

that sort of happened to me. i bought a pallet of celebration grass and noticed it was much thicker. At first i thought it was because it was maintained tall but once i sprouted some seeds i knew for sure it was a common. I didnt do anything about it because it only covers a section of my yard, but i am very satisfied on how well it tolerated the shade (area recieves (4.5- 5.5 full sun). i mow at 1 inch with reel and is denser than my 419, but that must be because i only get 6-7 hours of full sun now on the 419. that being said, unless you want the fairway look, it seems much of a hassle to get it replaced, if anything, they should give you a discount. i dont mind how my common looks, looks nice actually, and mine looks thicker than yours (the stems). Well I called the sod farm today and they assured me that they delivered 419. I think what's going on is they are a crappy sod farm with tif that is contaminated with common. Maybe the tif will eventually push out the common, hopefully. It's pretty thick, and it doesn't look bad, but I'm still pissed. It's full sun in my back yard the entire day so maybe that will help.
