This morning in the garden

Last week I discovered several monarch butterfly caterpillars. On Sunday, there were 11; this morning there were 14. PLUS this guy.

This photo was taken at 11:49 a.m. I noticed that the antennae hanging down were already shriveling.

Time to eat the mid-day meal.

12:37 p.m. - this is what I found! Astounding change in such a short time.

Funny...I always thought that I had a good eye for women. Now you tell me I have an excellent eye for caterpillars and their cocoons!

This is a photo taken at 1:26 p.m. I cropped it a bit to make it look better.

It must be a female! Otherwise I would not have seen her!
