“We used Chi Renovation & Design for our basement remodel (after a pretty bad flood), and am thrilled with how things came out. After we worked through the design aspects, it was time to get started on the build. When it comes down to it, the most important piece from my experience is working with a general contractor that cares, takes ownership of the project, and is fast to rectify issues that inevitably arise when renovating. I can safely say that Ron, who was the GC that managed our project embodied all of those qualities. I never had to prove to Ron why we may have needed something changed, fixed, or reworked; not only was he often already aware of it, he always took responsibility and got it done. He was always fair. Beyond that ownership, the subcontractors that work with Chi Reno & Design were excellent, especially the drywall and painter folks. Honestly, by far the best paint work that has been done on our house. To that end, the value of the work done was well worth the (reasonable) price. I am thrilled with how it came out, and my kids love playing down there everyday!”

“Bart is an excellent communicator, employs true craftsmen and stands behind his word. He personally came out to quote my job and stuck to the quote he gave me. He estimated the start date to be the "end of January/beginning of February"; they started the project on Jan 31st. He predicted the project to last 3-4 months and finished on time in mid-May. He was spot on with the allowances he gave me in his quote (cabinets/counters/etc.); he is knowledgeable and professional. When a decision needed to be made about a change to the plan (this will happen in any project, expect it), Bart personally met me on sight to explain the problem and go over the options. He was able to accommodate my "add ons" (also part of the process). His crew is made up of "craftsmen" who did the job right the first time, delivering me a kitchen that is better than I imagined. Thank you Derek, Henry and Alex for taking such good care of my home, I appreciate your expertise and attention to detail. I found all the subcontractors used (architect, floor refinishing, electrician, plumber) equally professional and reliable. This was a big project for me and something I've never done before, Bart and Alex guided me through it and I couldn't be happier with the results.
