I would like to plant two shrubs in a large raised (contained) bed at the back of my property that is filled with Gout Weed/Bishop's Weed. I tried two Ornamental Elderberries but they grew to big to fast and they don't look tidy. The shrubs will be planted symmetrically in the bed and it gets full sun. The area is difficult for me to maintain so the Gout Weed covers nice and keeps the weeds down. I will be keeping it as my ground cover. Any suggestions for companion shrubs?
