neighbors are replacing all their windows so i thought i would rebuild my cold frame but now i may have to build a greenhouse.

I have made cold frames too in the past and they really help extend the season at both ends.
( I over-wintered trays of seedlings and fall sowings) If you make a GH that will extend your season and your space. If you supplement with heating you can grow pretty much anything. I imagine you would not have to heat much in your zone. Have fun!

I built my 8" by 26" of used windows last year. If you go to Oklahoma gardening forum you'll see what I've done about air leaks. this is a phenomenal greenhouse that will produce all summer with no shading and no fans because everything opens up. bitter winters are a problem.
