If you are just wanting to move piles of dirt, it will move no more than 150-200lbs per load. It won't dig in to the ground. You should have rear weights (as a counter balance) on the tractor. It won't lift any higher than 7 - 10" off the ground and is somewhat adjustable (ease of lift vs scoop height). Put extra air in the front tires, too.

OP - I also believe the yt4000 is classified as a "lawn tractor" which means installing and using a scoop will put a heavy load on the hydro tranny.. possibly beyond it's design limits... might want to check that question out first before investing.

Ditto to what RCBE posted. If you have any hills or slopes moving stuff with that scoop will be even tougher on an LT transmission.

My FIL has a Craftsman scoop mounted on his GT5000 (NOTE: his is a garden tractor, not a lawn tractor). I don't think it will lift as high as 7 inches - more like 4. He uses it to fill in graves after they've settled, and it works fine for that. To fill the scoop, he has to run into the dirt pile at a pretty good clip. He does not use (or need) wheel weights, but, again, his is the heavier-duty garden tractor, and he operates on flat ground. Perhaps if he had wheel weights, that might provide enough more traction to push the loader scoop into the dirt without having to ram into it. Remember, it is NOT a front-end-loader, nor is it a grader blade.
