Hi,
Your AV will eventually grow new leaves from the center of the crown. If it's a standard you can expect it to grow from 8 to 12 inches across. Some grow even larger depending on the hybrid. If the leaves are turning brown on the edge, remove them. Any good leaves that you trim can be put into a mix and used to start new plants.

The leaves are fine, it's the *flowers* that have dried edges and are shriveling. What gives?

I asked about extended leaves because my other AV has a perfect roseate pattern of leaves.
