on the downside, the betta that appeared to mysteriously develop bright red coloration on the tips of his fins has deceased after a day of lying on the bottom of the tank :(

On the upside, my image collection has been updated to include all the creatures that currently reside in my room. I am unable to take photos of the fish tanks or other bettas at this time because they are downstairs and the webcam is attached to my computer up here. No photos are duplicates, each one is a different animal, though two of the bettas do look very similar to eachother.
