no roots on a blooming amaryllis. help?

back in september i bought four amaryllis bulbs as part of a co-op. they are called "pasadena" "dancing queen" "jewel" and "papilio". the papilio and dancing queen are doing great, however i'm kind of concerned about pasadena and jewel. jewel is planted in soil, and has leaves, but no roots. its been this way since well before christmas. pasadena has put out a third scape which is blooming now. it isin a vase with pebbles and water, since i had run out of pots and soil at the time it started to grow. i intend to plant these in the ground in the spring. So what i'm asking is basically, what do i have to do to get these two plantsto make roots and get ready to be planted out in the spring?
