Sounds like hardware cloth staple-gunned to a frame. What a good idea! Pick up all the parts to this project at HD or Lowes.

Not sure where to buy them but Ive made quite a few for my personal garden and clients. You can pick up the square steel panels at HD in the concrete section , if your handy or know some one that can weld you can cut the panel to size , frame with either square or angle iron , use small pieces of angle iron for mounting tabs and Wa la. Nice sat project , moderate diy skills , BIG savings$$ I will post some photos if i find them good luck!

I saw some heavy duty wire squares used for a storage bin at HD. They told me to go to Diversified Supplies off Kyrene & 202. Didn't get there.

You can also check the Gardeners supply website. They have different kinds of trellis materials.

I choose to get the 'Remesh" from HD. It has large openings. Slightly rusty. Will clean and rustoleum the mesh. Then put it in the garden for beans and things. I decided a little effort on my part would save me a buck or two.

Do let us know if you find a good, reasonably priced trellis.

Look up cattle panels. I can't remember where I was reading about them, but they are useful in a number of ways. I remember someone arched them over for a covered walkway. Google "cattle panel". At the bottom of the page is how to make a greenhouse out of them.

Have you found 'cattle panels' in Phoenix area?

I know the panels, pretty heavy gauge wire. I haven't used these yet but I've used Western Fence for other stuff. They work pretty well will homeowners. If they don't have they'd know where you can get it or they can make it. Very low cost. They have Omega Panels which is close.

You can get the cattle panels at Higley Feed in Gilbert. But those aren't the ones at the Tempe Marketplace. Those are really nice ones and I have seen them at many commercial places too. I would also like to know where to buy these nicer commercial ones if anyone finds out.

The commercial trellis can be found at "greenscreen.com" It says on their website that it costs about $9-$12 per square foot.
