Winter sown seeds - 12 months of the year! HURRAY!

I work in a garden center. So many of you all know how hard it is to find seeds from fall until early New Year as so many places do not put seeds out until Christmas has cleared out. I have always found this incredibly frustrating, especially in a climate where we can garden 12 months of the year!

So yesterday I spoke to our seed rep. and explained the whole process of winter sowing..and guess what...she said "I guess you need seeds ALL the time then, right?". SOMEONE GETS IT! Her seed company is going to let us keep our seed until the new seeds are ready and we can swap the racks out all in one day.

The seed company had never heard of this before and seems pretty thrilled.

YIPEE!

How wonderful. Everyone around here sends the seeds back after a certain time and you can't find any late in the season.

WOW, how cool is that ! I have been trying to convince the GH here to keep the seeds available, but no luck.yet...I did have one interested and gave her this site forum to look and understand WS, so maybe she will "get it"

WAY to go...now if we could only convince the stores to carry dirt year round...I did get one to give me some out of the back room they had left..tee hee

We should all right to the stores and beg for year round seeds...although...I do enjoy trading more then shopping for them !

This is great news! I encouraged Urban Gardener in EAV to bring theirs back out too! Two great places with seeds and they're right across the street from each other! SWEET!!
