Well, I went back out into the greenhouse....nearly froze to the door handle! I have found at least four more pots of this in flower... funny how things just get away from you when you're not looking!

Very nice shot, Howard. Often so difficult capturing reds and purples with any accuracy using digital cameras.

And, yes, H. schneideriana is my bet as well.

When I look over 'schneideriana' it is a pure lighter color than yours. Mine is very deep dark red with little bumps. When I looked at web sites, they show maybe 20 different reds all with different names. So I am confused. I think taken a stem cutting from a known cultivar, it is imposable to name them.
BTW My seeds are getting taller and nicer. I got 34 plants out of 50 seeds. I hope to see flowers this year.
Also do you know how much cold temperatures they can take.
