i suggest you check out the dollar tree. i love free though and milk jugs and 2 liter bottles...free. seeds if trades basically... free. the flowers and joy of growing...priceless :)

I'm going to look for those at my local Walmart here in Canada. I like the fact that they have a high clear plastic lid. Room for the seedlings to grow and still be protected.

How are you going to water those and how are you going to put drainage holes in them? Never could figure out how to use those? If they are only 3.5 inches deep they only allow the plants to sprout and not grow with roots etc. Like mine to stay inside the milk containers for a bit and they get a good 6 inches of head space.

These have 3 1/2" clear domed lids. That's tall enough. It's pretty easy to poke holes in the foil pans for drainage and for the airholes in the top, I'll probably cut a V and bend it back. Milk jugs work fine. I just like to be able to see the seedlings.

Christie, I agree with you, I'm not a big fan of the milk jugs and two liter bottles either. I love those roasting pans, glad Santa brought you some.

Over the years, I have found many types of containers that I love, and some I can even reuse for multiple years. They are also free. I know you might not have time to collect some of these for free this year, but maybe next year. I collect mine throughout the year and stash them in the garage.
