How to grow a pineapple from a top the easy way

Try this you will like it: Take a pineapple and twist off the top. Pull off 5-8 of those leaves towards the bottom of the stump and you will find 100% of the time there are little roots already there. Cut off the bottom of the stump right 1/4" below the bottom rootlet. Put the top into a glass of water so that the roots, but not the rest of the top is in the water, it just takes a little bit of water. then put in a sunny windowsill and keep that water level maintained by checking it once a week or so. It will grow a great root system in no time and if you use a small glass so that the stump just fits down into it, you will have no problem with mold or losing the green leaves. Then pot it up whenever you get around to it. it will grow and grow just in the water for at least 3-4 months. You can also use those water rooted tops in a betta vase as long as it's in bright enough light. I had one in with my fish for over a year!
