Last summer I grew blue morning glories from purchased seed and they were beautiful. I anticipated getting seed from these prolific bloomers like I use to, years ago. But not one seed matured on these vines. The flowers and stem would just fall off after flowering. Does anyone know what the heck is going on. I love the blue colour of these flowers, and I'd like to continue to grow them from collected seed. Thanks for your help. Cheers.

we normally buy fresh seeds and not use the old ones. The ones that do mature though can grow from fallen seeds. However they may not come up true to the original plant.

I have been growing morning glories from seed (starting indoors and direct-sowing) for about ten years now, and not ONCE have I had a Heavenly Blue come to flower. I don't know why I seem to be the only person in the world who has this problem. Any ideas?
