They branch. Tip prune,and its near a sure thing to grow 2 or more branches. If you never tip it? It can keep going indoors to the ceiling maybe without a branch.
What we see is all juvenile growth. In Madagascar large plants have swollen trunks(swollen not always at the base either,sometimes 2/3 's of the height of the plant) with no thorns,and even the leaves reduce from the Plumeria like look.
These really are of many faces plants based on indoor,outdoors, and age and climate.

A bit of rebar heated in a fire for bigger Aloes and Agaves is fun, too.

The other halfs soldering iron isn't working which has come as a bit of a relief because burning it seemed a bit barbaric lol. I've taken a little bit off the top and shall leave it be now. Cactusmc thanks for your help

Hi !!

I have a Pachypodium Lameril that's has 4 branches. ... I have had it for about 5 years and its still small, but it did branch.. Not sure and can't remember ever seeing my blooms on this one. I also have a Pachy ( Baronii) that just did flower and it still is a single stem .

I'll post pics tomorrow if you would like to see the Lamerii... With the branches.. It's raining and late .. Time for bed!!!

Mine is sending up pups from the bottom all the way around but not sure if this could be called branching or not. They are attached to the trunk though.
