Beheading is an option, but will not solve the problem, which is etiolation, elongated weak growth due to lack of sufficient light.

Is that a glass bowl you are growing in? And no drain hole? Not conducive to success with succulents.

Of course there's a drainage hole :) It's a repurposed, industrial reflector. All my other succulents seem to be thriving in it, creating off-shoots and blooms everywhere. This guy, however, is a strange dude. Perhaps I'll take him out and get him in a sunnier location.
