You need typ use either a more gritty mix or a c+s mix with 50% perlite added for extra drainage, if you repot tree babies and the mom plant in one of those mixes...only time will tell if they can be saved, but I'm thinking the babies have a good chance. Does that pot/ bowl have drainage holes? If NOT i strongly suggest to use one that does. Goodluck hunnie

Thanks for your tips :). Unfortunately we don't have perlite in this part of Asia. Any alternatives that are possible? Let me check for the drainage holes and I will repot if there aren't any. Sure hope the babies will survive. Any idea what the plant name may be? I assume it's an euphorbia because of the oozing sap. Appreciate your help :)

This is indeed a Euphorbia, not sure which one. Is the brown area of the plant soft at all? If not, it is not rot, could be just natural corking. A drain hole is a must. Is the planting medium free draining? When you water it, the water should come out of the pot right away. If not, you need to change your mix. These do well in full sun.

Looks like an E. Susannae(sp?). They do tend to darken up at the bottom to form a "caudex", or a hardened above-ground section of trunk, with time. Are they squishy? They don't look too bad to me. I agree, only time will tell for sure but those roots do not look rotted to me.

Thanks for the support:-) The stem is not squishy or soft at all. Doesn't seem to be rotting anyway. Just discolored. There are 4 drainage holes at the bottom and it is free draining. The whole plant is yellow now sure hope it survives. All help is much appreciated.
