How to make the most of my small ensuite

Hi all. This is the first time I have asked the Houzz community for help but I have been a frequent visitor while we have been renovating our house. So many gorgeous inspirational ideas!

I'm really stuck on how to complete our ensuite. It is small and the layout is less than ideal for a modern ensuite. I have attached the original plans so you can see what I'm working with. Ideally I would like to leave as much of the original plumbing in the same spot to minimize costs but I'm really struggling to get a contemporary look out of this space.

Please can anyone give this first time renovator some tips?

Hi, I personally don't like corner shower units that cuts off 45 degree angle like you have there. Consider maximizing as much glass as you can with the shower so it feels more open.

Thanks for the advice Dytecture. I agree with you. I really don't like the corner units either. This pic is a great idea. I just need to think about how to do something similar in our place...
