Can you eat these cacti apples?

Was wondering if anyone knows if this cacti apple is edible, I've tried others that were delish but never this one. I had a friend ask me the other day, so I cut one in half, then just took a quick lick and it did have a pleasant taste but I want to hear from the experts.

Greg,

As you likely know, they're all edible, but I'd guess that one's particularly tasty. The ceroid columnars of South America are known for their delicious fruit.
