Italian Cypress is browning

Hello,

we planted our italian cypress' two months ago and they were doing fine. but just last week or so, the whole body of 2 or 3 of them were starting to fade out. They commenced becoming more and more pale. All the rest are still nice, and green growing to around 7 feet. The "fading" trees are planted in between all the rest inside a narrow planter along a wall that borders our neighbors. Our neighbor has automatic sprinklers that spray for around 10~15 mins on the grass that borders the wall. We see a sprinkler very close to our 2~3 cypresses, so could it be that their water has leaked to our side?

how many did you plant? you should expect some losses ... whether your fault or the suppliers ...

potted or ball and burlap??? in other words .. can we be certain they werent dug improperly from the nursery?

what is the water situation under the affected trees .. dig a small hole .. and see if they are dry or overly wet ...

if you have a warranty .. discuss such with your supplier ...

though it may be the neighbors watering impacting certain plants.. it might be a whole lot of other problems ... so don't go burning bridges with the neighbor just yet ...

they were not dug improperly because they are in between other cypresses and the other ones are still green

the affected trees seem to be much wetter than the normal ones also.

The rootballs are dry. This can occur in spite of rainfall and/or watering. To be certain, feel the soil in the rootball.
