Natal, those pictures are spetacular! They are so crystal clear. What kind of camera do you use? I can't get over how sharp the butterflies are even when in flight.

Is that butterfly weed in the first picture? You're further south than me. Is that variety an annual or perennial for you?

Thyme...I think that plant is Asclepsias, butterfly weed.

Our weather forecast shows 99 tomorrow and 98 the day after. So it's summer here, too...it just doesn't last as long, generally breaks by 2nd week in September.

Thyme, MeMo's right ... that's butterfly weed. My camera's an Olympus C-765. I've had it about 6 or 7 years. It takes great pics except in low light.

I feel your pain. Today is day 50 of 90+ degree weather for us. Which is a bit out of the norm for us. Supposed to be 98 today, we've had heat advisories lately.

The dog days have been here all summer it seems. We have been hitting the water for some relief. I'm amazed at some of my plants that are just THRIVING in this heat.
