This is my frist time to grow pumkins. I brought a packet of pumkin seeds in Wal-mart for 10 cents. I planted them just like other flowers from seeds. 4 made it and started to grow around July, and now they have flowers, mostly male, and the female flowers kept following off before they become mature. I didn't ferilize them except at time I thinned them out, manure, blood and bone meal. I thought they would be growing just like that. Still no pumkins, not even one. Yestersday, I mixed some plant-tone and bone meal around their bases. That is enough? I hand pollinated one female flower this morning. I hope it was a success. What other organic fertilizer I should use after the fruit set?
