Hey guys and gals. I am FINALLY working on the dry creek and the areas surrounding it. (It's only taken 2 1/2 years to buy some rocks!) :)

On one side of the creek, next to the house, is a small area (8 feet x 5 feet) under our dining room windows. It gets sun from about 9:30 to 12:30, then is in bright shade.

I'm going to put a few boulders there, as well as a couple of autumn ferns.

I'd like one more plant - evergreen if possible - that won't get more than 3 feet tall.

There will be quite a bit of rain run off from the roof in that area, but it is sloped to direct the water into the dry creek.

If nothing else, I do have some yellow flag iris, which seem impossible to kill -- and do like wet feet, which could possibly happen, at times.

I also have hostas I can divide -- but I'd really like something about 2 to 3 feet tall, to sort of direct the eye away from our a/c unit.

Any suggestions?
