How did your gourd sales go??
Was K Mart having a farmer's market on the parking lot, or is it just open for vendor's of all sorts?

During the late summer there is usally 1 or 2 people selling veggies or melons of some sort in the parking lot. One gal is a regular and there pretty much every day. We were there for just 4 hrs. and the kids made $30 We sold the ornamentals 5 for $1 Sold a couple of big gourds and a few small pumpkins. The veggie lady did say it had been slow for a saturday when we got there. This town is only about 5000 if that. It was fun any ways.

Sundae, be sure to save back at least one each of the small decorative gourds for seed. You may not get exactly the same color/shape due to genetic diversity, but Cucurbita gourds are certainly worth seeding out! I presume the big gourds you speak of, are Lagenaria, another genus. I have grown Lags and love them.
