Hoya Carnosa

I thought so but my cutting looks different with new growth that is purple. I am finally happy to give this guy an ID. Thank you.

Carnosas are very variable with leaf color. I want to say yours is h. carnosa 'Krimson Princess' but since it is so old, I am unsure if that's indeed what it is. New leaves are often reddish or purple in several hoya types.

Actually, it's 'Krimson Queen'. It's an old trade name but I think it's a charming name we should keep! It's the Hoya that got me hooked in 1977.

I could have sworn Krimson Queen had white present on the outer edge of the leaf, and that KP had a green outer edge of the leaf, with the variegation on the inner part of the leaf.

Yes I believe it is "Krimson Princess". I know that these are mixed up quite often but everything I checked said this was -Princess.

I certainly hope it is, lol. If it is not, I may need to do an ID change on one of my hoyas.
