Grayswood starts white but turns several shades of different pink. Tama Azisai has sprawling growth and unusual fuzzy leaves. Fuji Waterfall has double flowers. All these are good in Zone 6. There are more but others will chime in.

It was not clear from your comments above however... are you saying that you are not going to provide them with water after they are established? If you are not, I am concerned they will not get enough water.

Lanarth White is a nice white lacecap.

Luis, yes, I did mean that once they are established they won't get water unless there is an extended period without rain. We usually have 36" of rain here annually, and other than their first summer, this is the first time (we've lived here 4 summers)I've watered the hydrangeas that are out at the other end of the yard.

That said, my hydrangeas flower quite well but are not the largest or sturdiest I've seen. I've attributed this to the fact that I've moved them a couple of times and soccer damage. Do you think they could need more water?

Not necessarily, leafy02. I said that I was concerned because they will be near some trees and the canopy can deflect rain elsewhere during the rainy season.

I second the vote on Lanarth White. I had forgotten about that one.
