Insurance for farmer's markets - Ontario

I am just posting this for future market gardeners who may be having a hard time finding affordable liability coverage for market sales at an afforable price.

I am switching my HOME insurance to a company called:

Peel Maryborough Mutual Insurance Company

The policy is a country living policy and I signed up for the liability coverage for $50 for the year which covers me for up to $5000 of produce sales (the rate increases for higher amounts).

I have had such a difficult time finding someone to insure us at reasonable cost I felt it was worth posting this for others.

It doesn't look like it Marla, the broker map is just Ontario not even Canada-wide.

I just got a call from the insurance guy and it turns out he was wrong - they do NOT cover the liability at the farmer's market. So - I take it back! :)

Mine is classified as a small footage retail space. That's how one company called it, so that what my agent went with.
