I bought 2 of the Six Hills Giant. I was under the impression that they would not self-seed. Mine have self-seeded, although they are easy to pull up. I have since discovered that the place I bought them from mislabels things all the time, so I am not positive of the variety. They were beautiful the first and second year, planted near some shrub roses and dianthus in the front. One plant did have some tough winter conditions and died. The other is still going strong for perhaps 4 years now. They say to cut them back after the first bloom, however, they seem to keep blooming so I don't usually get them cut back until they are really starting to look ratty. They look pretty good about two weeks after cutting back though (losing that hacked off quality my plants usually get), but I doubt if I will get any rebloom this year. It is nice for early summer bloom here. I also have some sedums like Autumn Joy in the planting for later color. Rating: One thumb up, one thumb hitchhiking.
