Herman Great to hear from you. I agree about the gas measurement. I see from your member page that you grow figs, never tried that. I grow mostly perennials and vegatables here, but am always interested in learning about things that I haven't tried.

Lots of figs grown in Youngstown, in Italian and other ethnic areas. They bend them down and bury them for the winter. I lived in NJ before I came to OH. I brought my fig with me. In NJ, they wrap them in blankets and cover them with canvas or tar paper. I have 2 in pots that I put in the basement for the winter. It is cool there, less than 50 degrees. An unheated garage would do as well, as long as the temp stays above 20. I like to experiment with plants, too
