Beautiful! That one's a Tiger. Both have stripes. I get them mixed up too. They're so pretty aren't they! I'm hoping they'll be plentiful this summer.
It seems like I've seen more butterflies than normal for spring. The warmer winter may play a part in that.

It would be fun to have a zoom lens! I planted potatoes with mushroom compost and soil mixed then watered it. I'll bet there were at least a dozen butterflies on the wet ground. There were more black and blue ones and four or five yellow swallowtails. When I tried to take a picture, most of them flew away.

Glenda make a mud puddle and put a little green cow manure in it and you'll get all your butterflies in one spot.

There were lots of butterflies on the mud puddle I made, but I couldn't get close with the camera.

Helen, I have plenty of both (manure and water). I am making bread this morning while the grass dries off but I will try that trick this afternoon! Who would have thought.....You got some good pictures.

It may not work now that it has rained. When I made my mud puddles it was dry everywhere except the one spot.

You're seeing more than me Helen. I need to sneak across the street and borrow some cow manure.
