After spending some time on Gardenweb and Google doing some "research" (sounds better than "wasting time"), I've decided to try something new. : )
Has anyone in the Ozarks tried to grow Shark Fin Melon?
What I'm reading says it may also be called Fig Leaf Gourd or Malabar Gourd. Another common name is Seven Year Melon because they can supposedly be stored that long. I wouldn't have room in my fridge if that's where they like to be but I thought it was interesting just the same.
It's October and I'm already ordering seeds.I think that's a sign that it's going to be a long winter. They were hard to find and I ended up ordering them off Ebay.
