rabbits and beans - only young plants?

Do you think rabbits mainly like the young bean plants? I would like to put up a temporary fence till plants get about a foot tall. Thanks

I keep a green vinyl coated 2x3 inch mesh around mine all season. The green disappears to the eye.

I have snap beans ('Contender') and a jillion rabbits. Zero damage, and I watch rabbits zip through the garden almost daily. I think it depends on other available food sources. If your beans are the tastiest to them, they will go for it. If they like other available food sources better, they forget the beans. At least, in my garden. Maybe I'm lucky...
