New Mexico Big Jim - big and spicy

After I harvested these Big Jims, my wife grabbed them out of my hands and tossed them on the grill. They had great flavor, but were way too spicy for me.

Those things are monsters!!!! Odd that the 6-4 right next to them are having so much trouble. So far, I have 1 big jim set and it's still tiny. At least I still have a pack of them in the freezer from last year. :-)

Nice Big Jims! Keep trying them. Those two may have been too spicy, but the variety is extremely variable in heat level. Some will have the great flavor with mild heat, while some (on the same plant, even) will have great flavor with blazing heat. You just have to test the waters with these pods.

Nice Big Jims. Mine are being eaten up by deer :-( If those are too spicy for you, don't try Sandias.

Just an update.

A lot of folks have issues with deer, have you considered getting a dog? The only issues I had so far, are nightingales pecking at my tomatoes.
