It does sound like too much water.

Are your seedlings strictly indoors and how old are they? And you just started having this problem? I would hold back on the water until the soil is dry as a general rule. If you're getting rot, aside from fungus it is usually due to too much water / cold.

To post multiple pictures you can upload your photos to a site like Flickr, photobucket, etc. and then copy the html code into your post. The GW uploader thingie only lets you do one at a time.

Yes they are strictly indoors, it's too cold and rainy in washington for them. And I've never had this problem before, I sprouted these from seed 4 years ago. I think it was the soil, because I pulled one out to look at the rootball and the top 2 inches of soil were dry but everything under that was still moist and the roots were brown and rotten. So basically it retained moisture too long and that's why it rotted. I took most of the old soil off the rootball and replanted them into half cactus mix/ half foxfarm. They now look much better, no leaves have fallen off and they have new growth :)
