Thank you all for your compliments about the photos! I know red is one of the hardest colors for some cameras to capture accurately. My previous camera, a Nikon Coolpix, couldn't despite a return to the factory for calibration. I replaced it with a Sony Cybershot DCS-H1.

As for a comparison of Opening Night vs. Mr. Lincoln the pic below should answer your question (this was from this morning after the flower had a chance to open). Opening Night definitely keeps its color where Mr. Lincoln will turn purplish as the flower ages -- especially in heat. As for fragrance, Opening Night has some, but nothing like Mr. Lincoln, one of the best smelling roses there is (IMHO).

Yes, the photography, i.e. quality of the picture, is definitely outstanding. The blooms are beautiful of course, but the clear and crisp image is superb!

I keep hearing about the fragrance of Mr. Lincoln.....I suppose I am just going to have to break down and get one!
