Ours was about $900 for a years worth of 400k coverage. We got a referral to the company our builder has used for the insurance in the past rather than trying to go through our current insurance provider. 400k is actually probably going to end up low compared to the actual build price but we're only a few blocks from a fire station and the builder actually encouraged us to lowball the amount because per him, even if something does occur its less costly to rebuild after an destructive event than to start new...hopefully that one doesn't end up biting us in the arse :)

This probably goes without saying but remember you don't need to include the price of lot in this coverage..just the building.

Mine was $363 for one year with 200k coverage. If it's an issue, keep in mind that most of these policies do NOT cover theft from the job site. I live in a rural area with very little construction going on, so I basically had to call local insurance companies. It had been years since most had done a builders risk policy, so I had to use the one company willing to provide it.

$700 over 9 months for $450k of coverage Central VA.

A little over 600.00 for 500K coverage for a year. Added on to our existing State Farm policy. Western WA.
