Well, if you want really dry dishes, you'll need heated dry which none of the European brands have. KA has heated dry although they now have models without it to compete with the European brands. I have a 11 year old KA that I'm very happy with but some recent models have had some issues.

By the way, I would rethink getting Viking appliances. They have a bad reputation for reliability and have been going through a lot of corporate turmoil.

As to the heated dry non heated dry debate.
Heater elements mean you are limited to where you can place plastics to only the top shelf.
Euro type - condensate dry, means you can load anything wherever you want.

I've had a Bosch for many years and my dishes are dry and really too hot to handle when the d/w finishes it's cycle. I use rinse aid and I use the high temp rinse.
