This is the end grain of a wood plank on my floor.

What you have yourself is White Oak.

Few boards had me scratchin my head but its White Oak.
Just remember to get a grade thats similar. Knots color streaks all would fall under a rustic or character grade. Dont get select or clear grades they will stick out like a sore thumb

10+ yrs refinishing, the grains i see that are visible at the bottom of the picture and the endgrain picture tells me its white oak. The knots and color streaking tells me its not a clear or select grade.

If you could post more pictures with a better shot of the grains without the glare i could tell better. Theres always a possibilty im wrong but based of the endgrain picture i feel pretty confident.

It is a two-strip engineered plank floor, such as what is manufactured by Kahs, but it could be from Tarkett or another manufacturer.

White oak, probably...although it could be northern ash.

But the endgrain picture is solid. Not engineered.

I don't know how much you need, but you could always have them cut out pieces from inside a closet and use that for patching. Then get new, close enough match and put the new stuff into the closet.

Could not see that on my monitor, but I took a closer look on my tablet and I think that you are right. The matching butt end in the picture makes me think that it is a two strip product, but that could just be installer error.
