Sears GDO model 139.53930D and Keyless 139.53684

Both Craftsman units. Keyless has been operational for six+ years. GDO has been operational for 16 hours. Can't get the GDO to recognize the keyless entry.

Attempt four steps as outlined in GDO Owner's manual for using keyless entry, but all keyless entry does is blink. GDO does nothing. GDO has PURPLE "Learn" button and amber "Learn" light.

Tried new battery. Tried holding keyless entry right up to the GDO. Tried holding entry button on the keyless after inputting 4 digits; and while holding the 'Entry' button on the keyless, depressing the "Learn" button on the GDO. No joy. No blinking lights from the GDO.

Are these two units compatible? Where can I go online to see a compatibility chart?

Is there a Rosetta stone for making these two units work?

Car remotes work fine.

I would call Sears and after giving them the model number of your opener ask what keypad is compatible. That information must be available to someone but it sure is hard to find. No Rosetta stone here.

Your new garage door opener is on a 315 mhz, the key pad that you are trying to use is not compatible with the new opener because they are on a 390 mhz. Sorry to say you need to purchase a new keyless entry with the new 315 MHZ system. The key pad that you need to purchase from Sears is: 139.53754
