What have you got, can lights? Can lights are notorious for distorting hues. Have you tried using different type bulbs?

@sarahsplace did you ever resolve this issue in your kitchen? I'm having the same problem and looking for ideas on how to resolve the color without having to completely replace the tiles.

Hi duecellucci. I have been wrestling with this problem for a decade. Slow learner, huh? I came across some ideas and I’ll share what I have tried. Supposedly you can dye the stone with concrete stains. I wasn’t over whelmed with the look and I believe one should try to strip the sealer off first. The stripper I tried on a little spot was noxious. So I will wait until doors can be opened before trying again. The colors I produced were a kind of chocolate and some oranges. Perhaps with some real playing around I could refine the colors. I was hoping for a cool gray.

One thing I learned after it was too late was there should be only one busy surface in a room. My husband insisted on busy cabinets and I feel like shooting myself every morning.

Btw the chocolate made with the black dye on yellow stone look did take away some of the business but you have to be happy with the color.
