I think the light colored ones look great with your cabs and countertops. You could do a dark one to play off of your ORB light fixtures. They make some that are wrought iron that you could tie in.

Try Cost Plus world market. Our previous stools were maple from there and they held up great!

Personally, I would not replace the stools with wood ones because I think it would be nicer to use a different material for the stools. I think that wrought iron or a material like rattan would look nice.
