Thanks for your question. For me, this keeps the room harmonious and enveloping instead of cluttered looking. There are 3 windows and one door - the fabric on the door is a solid wool, and the fabric on the windows is a horizontal stripe.

Would this wall color work in a room smaller than this one. My family room is open to my kitchen. It's smaller than this room but, not small.

The darker the color the smaller the room, but if you love the color shaggerty825, then use it. Small rooms can be cozy & warm. Don't be afraid of color. Have fun with it!

I noticed you used identical mirrors over the two chests. What are your thoughts in varying the wall decor over two similarly placed chests in a room a bit smaller than this one?
