Definitely not Beverly hills according to this definition. I like photo 1 the best -- and lived in a Dallas bungalow (nicknamed Keebler cottage), followed by 3 and 2 if I could replace the plantings. Don't think I could live with any of the others.

Bah. What do they know. That wallpaper is banana leaf, or maybe even Giant Bird of Paradise. Someone doesn't know their CA plants ;P

Well, the leaf arrangement, varying heights and frond angle does not appear to be Traveler's Palm. And even if it were, Traveler's Palms are not really palms--they are related to bird of paradise (Streilitziaceae). :-)

I think they got the name because they eventually shred and take on a Palm-ish appearance.

I've had one for about 30+ yrs and most time it has the big banana-like solid leaves which I prefer, well one yr when it summered outside, a ferocious t-storm moved through and every leaf shredded totally changing it's appearance..
