I live in earthquake country. My pool is about 25 yrs old. I worry about my pool all the time. We love our pool and would be so upset if it was ruined by a quake. So far so good...

lilsophie: when I just went back to look for the link, I watched a couple other pool earthquake vids - fascinating stuff - and I left feeling reassured. It seems like the pools just 'roll with it'. Watch a couple of them and you'll see what I mean. There's one of an 8.9 in Japan and the water just sloshes all around and then stops.

Yikes I hate quakes, they scare me death. I wonder if that pool had any cracks in it after the quake.....curious

I live in an area that had never had earthquakes during the time that records have been kept. Last year we had over 20 small ones. With that many, houses have taken a beating. None were big enough to knock down walls or anything like that, but houses have shaken hard enough to cause cracks in walls and slabs. Every single time I ran out and looked at the pool. Thankfully it didn't ever hurt my pool.
