Mama said there'd be days like that, there'd be days like that my Mama said. I was making a quilted purse yesterday as part of my January projects, and just as I was turning the curves on the ends, with heavy material no less and batting, I lose my bobbin thread too. I hate it when you get to the most difficult part of a project and have to stop and take care of it. I should have peeked first to see how much was on the little spindle. Yes, there are days when I fight seams and machines and sometimes I think you're better off just putting it away and coming back at another time. One nasty incident seems to lead to a run of them before your circumstances change. I stopped and vacuumed the carpeting in the sewing room this morning.........midstream. I hate it when the floors accumulate cutting matte fuzz, the carpets gather tiny thread snippets and the dreaded straight pins, as I sew bare-footed. Ahhhhhhh nice clean room and in order (until the next time).

Must have been bobbin revenge day. I was really lucky though, it just ran out in the middle of one side of feather. The restart didn't require machine maintenance thank goodness.

Wonder why it is that sometimes I can sew for days without problems and others you think, I should just quit and wait for a better day ;-)

It absolutely counts as quilting, especially since you had to sandwich in the expert advice of a 6 and 9 yo!!!

Yes, that is quilting.........it keeps us humble.
