If you buy traditional pinch pleat drapes that you are going to put on a traverse rod to open and close, you need drapes that - measured at the top - are 96 inches wide plus the distance on the sides where the rods are mounted. For some strange reason, drape manufacturers tend to measure the bottom of the fabric, which if there are pleats sewn into the top, doesn't tell the whole story. The pleats are going to double or triple the amount of fabric you need, so you would be looking at drapes that are 200-300 inches wide.

An alternate idea would be to use blinds for privacy and light control and then put stationary drapery panels on the sides.

If you are talking pinch pleated drapes I have seen that issue resolved by buying 2 sets for the width then using one slider to hook the 2 panels together so when you close them they close as one unit.

For my dining area patio doors of the same size, I used ready made grommet topped panels. I bought 4 panels and made them into 2 wider panels by opening the left side hem of one and the right side hem of the other and then sewed them together to make them wider. It was easy to do. I have one of the wider panels on each side of the door. It is not difficult to slide them to the middle to close them.
