Fake it Good.. no electricity above my island is going to stop me

Looky what I found today.

I know i AM SUPPOSE TO BE FINISHING UP MY KITCHEN AND THE EAT IN KITCHEN AREA..

I havent the funds to have an electrician come out and hook up whatever it is I need to have pendents hanging over my island as so many of you do. I drool over hanging outdoor pendant lights over everyones islands.

So off I WENT TO FAUX IT.. hEHEHEHEHE

LOOKY LOOKY.~purchased these from PEIR 1 some candles with timers and hooks and chain from Lowes then eyeballed while standing on the island. OHHHHHHHHHHH I love it. Hope you do too.

So if your like me and drooling over everyones lights above their islands. Their is away to get the look.

It looks like you have wiring up there (because of your existing recessed lights). It might not be all that expensive to get some pendant lights installed.

lol! good for you - it looks great!

I only use the battery candles anymore myself. much safer.

I've also read it's a good way to have wall sconces w/o wiring them in.

if you have recessed lights above your island, you can buy a conversion kit that plugs into them to do pendants. there are several brands if you search around. i never used it myself, but thought it might be something easy to DIY, or it seems that way according to the marketing...

Good for you! You know, opting for true candle light is an upscale thing, and of course, when you light those candles on some nice evenings they won't be fake at all. :)

You know, I saw those LED candles with remotes at Pier 1 and I thought "How silly. Whatever would you do with those?" Thanks for a great answer--they look perfect.
